October 2010 - Carsonville (Port Sanilac), MI Rally

The October Michigan Knights of the Highway rally will be October 1, 2, 3, 2010 - Lake Huron Campground  (GPS) 2353 N. Lakeshore Rd, Carsonville, MI.  (About 5 miles North of Port Sanilac).

Directions: 

M-46 From the West – Take M-46 East to its end at M-25 on Lake Huron.  Turn left (North) on M-25.  The Lake Huron Campground is about 5 miles North of Port Sanilac on the left side.  Watch for the Knights signs.

From the Detroit or Lansing Area – Take I-94 from the Detroit area or I-69 from the Lansing area.  They combine near Port Huron.  Take the exit on the left toward M-25/Pine Grove Ave/Lexington.  DON’T MISS THIS EXIT OR YOU WILL END UP IN CANADA.  Turn left onto Pine Grove Ave/M-25. Continue to follow MI-25 north past Port Sanilac about 5 miles to  the Lake Huron Campground at 2353 N Lakeshore Rd on the left.  Watch for the Knights signs.

When you send in your rally registration, you will not normally receive an acknowledgement by return mail.  If you have any questions, call the Rally Hosts.

Everyone welcome to come early and stay late. Wednesday Noon through Monday, all extra nights camping $29.70 per night (Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday nights).  If you come before Thursday or stay late, the Michigan Knights of the Highway are not responsible for any damages or injuries you may experience.  If you arrive before Thursday, the parking crew may have to relocate you on Thursday.

Campsites have 20, 30 & 50 amp power.  Cable TV, Wifi, full hookups (water, sewer, electric) with pull through sites. They also have at the campground, fishing & boat rentals, a fitness center, a game room,  Putt Putt golf course, a Pizza cafe and Ice Cream parlor.  Also a swimming pool, but it will probably be too cold to swim by then!

October is for Ghosts and Goblins. Costumes are encouraged. There will be a Decorate your coach contest.

Early arrival            - after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday

Thursday, Sept. 30 - Spend the day relaxing and chatting with fellow Knights or sightsee (see below).

Friday, Oct. 1         - About 10:00 a.m. - Golf Outing with Jim Riemersma.

                                 - 11:30 a.m. - Ladies Luncheon - to be announced.  Line up at the Host's coach for pictures and car pool, leaving at 11:45 a.m.

                                 -  5:30 p.m. Potluck supper - bring dish to pass, own table service and beverage

Saturday, Oct.2     -  8:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Coffee and Fellowship with First Timers.

                               -  5:30 p.m. - Catered Dinner - baked chicken, beef w/gravy, coleslaw, red skin potatoes, rice  pilaf, green beans almandine, dessert.

                               - 7:00 p.m. – Games.

                               -  8:00 p.m. - Drawing with Jim & Linda Thompson - MUST be present to win.

Sunday, Oct.3       - 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. - Coffee and Donuts.

                              -  9:00 a.m. - Singspiration with Jerry Wessel
